Things to look out for when buying a new horse

Just thought we should have people's collective experiences on this, so anyone who is looking can do so with their eyes open?

If I start with:
- it's very hard to earn a good living through being a reputable, 100% honest dealer. Even the honest ones that do well do so because they are amazing riders/horse people. Well we had a long drive up to Leicestershire yesterday to pick up the best birthday present ever (to myself ) - a pony!

Claude 2012.

I have high hopes that this diary is going to be full of fun stuff that me and Claude get up to this year. Going to have a year of getting his flatwork going as best as we can, lots of hacking and hopefully improving our jumping!

The main aim is to improve his topline, and keep his weight up (although he's a right porker just now, so I can't see that being a problem!). I'm really looking forward to getting back on him, so hopefully 2012 will be a good year for us!

Well thought it was about time Willow got her own diary, my new forest mare Bramble was put in foal to a coloured trotter in 2010, I had ordered a nice cream and white evenly marked filly, well what do they say about best laid plans lol...
