    Does anyone nearby (Wiltshire area) have one of these that I could borrow please?

    I think you can get a good impression of fit by placing a white pillow case under saddle/pad - the darker areas will show greater pressure - you can also see where there is no sweat that the saddle is making no contact - how thick are impression pads? as this could addd extra bulk and a false reading.

    the western saddler in hampshire can post them out for hire. sorry, she's the only one i know of!
