Default The Amazing Lorikeet Tongue (Pictures)

Ruby is a lorikeet, which is a special type of nectar eating parrot. They have a brush tongue to get to the nectar that is very cute and VERY long. I managed to snap these pictures of her amazing tongue a few mins ago so thought i'd share. Hope you like!!

    How fabulously gorgeous is she!?!
I wish I could have a parrot again, but my OH found my African Grey too noisy and I think he was quite relieved when my ex demanded her as part of the divorce

He's of the colour of the nutmeg. And of the heat of the ginger...he is pure air and fire; and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him

Sorry to hear about your grey

Unfortunately, it doesnt sound like a lorikeet would be an option for you, they are about 10 times louder than a grey! They have a really awful, ear piercing screech! Dont think your OH would like one lol. But they more than make up for it with their beautiful colours!

Its interesting the reaction from non-birdy people. I posted this on a parrot forum and everyone says how amazing/unique/beautiful her tongue is, but on the non-birdie forums it seems to freak people out a bit lol! I love it, i think it is so weird!
