Definitely go for it. Remember if you do decide to go for it let me know as I would love to do mine too, if you don't mind me tagging along. I started doing mine at college in Northampton but gave up as had a confidence knock

When would the Brooksby course start? Have you done your riding and road safety yet? Sorry for lots of questions lol

If when the exam comes round, you are not confident in jumping then you could always do the care first (I think the lunging is part of the care)and the ridden one later on?

Do I have to do riding and road safety before stage 2, or is that a requirement if you want to go on to do your PTT. Must find out

Yes you have to have got your riding and road safety before you do the Stage 2 exam definitely. Although nothing to stop you doing the stage 2 course and doing it half way through i.e. before the June exam

    Well done!

I have often thought about it but I have too many bad habits and can't be bothered to learn the BHS way again

Just seen this thread - that's great, well done! Did you decide if you'd do stage 2?

Thinking about it, but might leave it a year or two. I'm not great at jumping Big emphasis on the ridden part of stage 2 is jumping a course of 2'6" , but a serious course with fillers, spreads etc.... Also, it costs a small fortune!

Thanks for the congrats though BindyB

    Well done

Riding and Road safety is dead easy but you do have to do it before your stage 2. I failed my stage 2 the first time, my RI didn't believe me, lots of practice jumping!!! But you could just do the care?
