Default First away compy since buying Max - pics

here we are at our first away comp.

He travelled so well in the trailer given that he has been at the RS for at least nine years and likely has never travelled - like an old pro.

And he has plaits! Proper ponio now.

We did ok - my purposes were
    1. to travel
    2. try dressage
    3. maybe do sj
    4. walk the xc course
    5. if all is well try the xc

I managed nos 1-4 so pretty ok - Max was lying 3rd after dressage - we had 2 unfortunate refusals (entirely down to me backing off) in the sj. Had a blistered foot so could not manage the XC (shame lol)

So pleased for you, well done. Feels good just to get out and about and glad he travelled well for you. He looks so scrummy too.

    Yay, a max update

3rd after the dressage is pretty impressive imo shame you didn't get to try the xcountry. Hope the blister's not too sore.

He looks very clean and posh! Well done on all the achievements (especially the loading - it's great when they 'just do it', isn't it? )

Well done. He looks very smart.
I had a similar challenge earlier on in the year with Jaffa and he also passed with flying colours (travelling/ lots of unfamiliar hosses etc).
    Doesn't it feel great!?

Yes it feels great and I am still buzzing! The blister is a nightmare tho - the skin is bright pink with nerve endings, sore - and worst of all - preventing me riding.

Hey I have seen someone like Jaffa cake before - aren't they similar?
