    Ask away, i dont mind!

Una being a friesian should be homozygous black so, in theory at least, put to that stallion she should produce a black blanket spot baby. But it will probably come out chestnut or something

What would I do without you, my loyal and precious friend?

Both lovely, but that first one is stunning!! Cant wait to see the babies. You cant go wrong with an ID

Harley is 16.1 so about the same height as Una

Here is the only knab x friesian i have seen. The same cross im doing, friesian mare to knab stallion. This little colt is stunning IMO

er - WOW! if that foal comes out how you plan, Una will certainly be pushed firmly into the shade a spotty friesian? to DIE for! if it comes out solid it will still be a nice, chunky-sporty mix, and still very attractive from the mix of them both - but a spotty friesian -

I think it is guaranteed to have some degree of colouring or characteristics cos daddy is a few spot, but it could range from a few white spots on the bum to a leopard spot baby But Harley's owner said cos of the genetics and stuff it should turn out to be a black blanket spot

I've already had a couple of people enquire about the foal (that isnt concieved yet ) as a potential stallion if its a colt One in America and one in Australia But my plan at the moment would be to keep it as a riding horse, unless the right person came along if you know what i mean

Oooh exciting - you could always have a Daegan freebie though - I'm sure he'd love to jump all over the lucious Una

I've found it's very odd when putting a friesian mare to other types of horse because they aren't necessarily homozygous which is really strange! Danica has had a couple of non friesian foals and they have always been not black, she's had a dark bay TB X and a grey Arab X. With Danny as well we've used him on various different mares without them having black foals but the oddest result was with a coloured friesian x cob mare, last year she had a coloured baby and this year she's had a black so you could still be on for a chestnut From the research I've done we think it's because even though they are all black that black is the least dominant colour gene and is very easily overidden so you should definately get spots.

You've picked a very nice husband though
