    Default Ageing Horses from their Teeth - Photo Gallery

    Further to a recent thread, we thought it an interesting idea to compile photos of horses teeth at various ages.

    All photos welcome, can we keep them to the horse's right hand side and directly in front with lips pulled back, as clear and close up (without being blurry!) as possible for comparison purposes!

    First up is Kally, she was aged as 13 by a vet and an EDT 10 years ago, making her 23 now (I have no papers to suggest otherwise!)

    The famous Tess, who is passported as 11 but could possibly be 10.

    Clava's Tally, who is 18 and has very clean teeth!

    We have 2 yearlings, a 29yo, another 11yo, a 12yo and a 6yo to follow

    Just adding Vega's 4yr old teeth to the mix;

    First, because its not as obvious close up.. she definitely still has her deciduous corner incisors (these will fall out)

    I'd welcome dicussion on whether people think those 2nd incisors are also still deciduous, they look very short compared to her central permanent incisors? On first inspection I thought they were permanent, but the more I look, the more babyish they look! There is also quite a bit of tartar on them...

    The left side of her mouth

    Front
    Note the difference in the well defined cups of her central incisors, and the raggedy ones to each side... makes me wonder if they are going to come out.

    And the right side;
