    Default Hattie goes XC

Today was day 2 of Mum'scamp (actually day 3 as we had one day in May but the other two were postponed until now due to the rain).
Yesterday hattie had been brilliant and we really made some prgress wth our jumping and in the afternoon we did some water work, a sunken road and a ditch (which still needs quite a lot of work).

Today we did an hour in the school jumping and then we went out onto the xc field and fortunately tasha (and gorgeous Mini T) arrived and took some lovely photos for me of Hattie.

    Anyway , lots of pics...
We started with a canter round and then a jump

We did a long row of small jumps along a hedge, here is the first

Hats didn't like the last one...

    but went over

Then we had a go at a jump, rampand step (I had knotted my reins so couldn't slip them )
    Not sure...

but with some great RI guidance we went over

    Finished in the water again...

Fab stuff, she's a cutie and looks to be really enjoying herself

Oh how I miss you, my symphony, played the song that carried you out.

She looks fab! She's a real credit to you how wonderful she has turned out compared to what she looked like when you first rescued her, you must be so proud!

Thankyou guys, it was fantastic fun. We finished early as I think she was a bit tired (and I know I was!), but I was so pleased with her , and I learnt a lot about looking up and sorting out how we approach jumps

Is there a riding club you could join? I only joined mine so I could do the camp, but I have had some good gridwork lessons too

She can jump, but we had few refusals which the RI really helped with (made me walk up to them and stand her straight up at the jump, then turn away and do it again - worked everytime, as long as I looked up). We were jumping higher in the school but keeping the impulsion/ canter is quite hard at the moment.

She's come on an awful lot since you've taken her hasn't she?
Love how high her back legs are going through the water!
