    Default Piebald....skewbald!??

Mickey used to change colour throughout the year from a rich almost ginger brown to a dark brown almost grey colour (when clipped) in winter so I expected a little bit of change with Paddy but not as much as this

He was piebald when I got him........he is now skewbald!! I just hope he goes back to piebald in the winter

    Before -

    After -

Sometimes it can be down to what minerals there are in the grazing i think, might be something to do with copper?

It could also be to do with the sun, the sun bleaches their coats massively, a lot of folk I know who show friesians etc keep fly rugs on them as otherwise they turn a rich reddish black colour if that makes sense!
