Default Jump Judging - any advice?

The local RC has a hunter trials on tomorrow, and the organiser has asked if I would help out jump judging as she is short.

I have never done it before! But she has promised me it isn't too hard, I just have to right down their number, if they go clear, refuse, and if they fall off badly I should get a walky talky that I use to radio for help!

Is that really all I will need to do? Is there anything more complicated?

All advice welcome as I am not a XC person, just want to help as she has so few volunteers!

Default Jump Judging - any advice?

Yep it's that simple. I normally judge 4 jumps grouped together at some of the xc near us, which gets a bit tricky if you have more then one competitor at the fence, but one jump is easy. They normally give you a sheet which is purpose made for jump judging. Ours you wrote their number then ticked the box that corresponded as to how they jumped it e.g clear or one refusal etc. it's very easy and you'll really enjoy it.

Thanks Bex, I am hoping it might inspire me to actually do some jumping at some point! Hope it doesn't rain.
