Thread: What Colour Will She Go?

Default What Colour Will She Go?

I've not formally introduced my new filly, Mill Conquista (or Quest as she's called on a day to day basis) so here she is.

At 3 days old with her mum

When I went to view her, her legs have since gone black

When she came home to me

Anyway, I'm interested in knowing what colour everyone thinks she will go. Her sire is a rare toasted chocolate dun ('overo'). This is him: http://www.millpark-andalusians.com/...d=17&Itemid=39
    And this is mum:

Half siblings, all by the same sire:

    Full sisters:

She has a dorsal stripe which she will have inherited from her dad I imagine! But other than that I haven't a clue about what colour she might go. I'm THINKING she may just go grey?

She looks like shes going grey. Get her colour tested, I have with mine.

I don't know I think either grey or the colour of the one below the pic of her mum. Whatever she's gorgeous.

Thankyou both. She has had 9 colour DNA tests done and I'm currently waiting on them and her passport to come back from Spain following the change of ownership, I just thought it would be nice to hear some opinions

I think grey as she's similar to my sisters Arab who's going to grey out.

She'll be grey. She is a similar colour to Vega was at her age.

Interested to know how her sire is classed as overo when he has no white except for one small sock?

    Overo means dappled in Spanish

Thanks for the comments. It should be interesting to watch her change colour. Mejicano's offspring seem to have a sheen/metallic look to their coat so we'll see if she inherits that too.
