Default Today I have mostly been sewing ... chair covers

As we have just moved in to our first house, I wanted a way to decorate with out too much expense. So I found some fabric patterns that I liked, the same manufacturer and colour way, and am doing different things with them in the rooms down stairs.

Plus the house has a green carpet and I like red things so I needed a way to tie them in together.

First on my list is seat covers for the dining chairs. They currently look like this:

I wanted two patterned and two plain, I got an amazing bargain on these red covers in ikea so that's the plain ones sorted.

    My fabric selection

    Pieces cut out

    Starting to take shape

    Seat on

Tidied up and Velcro sewn underneath and voila

And just a jiffy later ...

Yes but somebody in Ikea Central made a mistake on the prices and they only cost me 50 pence each

The ones I've made have probably cost about 20 in materials and about 6 hours work.

I ordered it from Terry's Fabric as they had the best prices (and cashback through Quidco) but I've seen it lots of different places.
