    Default hacking blooper :P

I love doing canter videos and haven't done one for ages, we don't have off-road hacking and only a few teeny grass verges so can only go for a proper canter at this time of year when there's stubble fields to enjoy. I can't afford a headcam so I just take my normal camera, ride with one hand and film with the other - hence I took one of our liveries who is really safe and sensible out hacking and also doesn't canter very fast, perfect horse to film from.

So we were cantering along nice and steady on a loose rein and suddenly something flashed across the ground in front of us... K did a little buck and shot off sideways, and with one hand in the air holding my camera my balance wasn't on my side, and I went splat But not only did I manage to hug my camera as I fell and avoid breaking it, but it didn't stop recording either so I got it on film

Sorry for the rabbit ramblings I was worried for a moment, because I was convinced I hadn't hit my head but my boss and the other girl hadn't seen the rabbit, so I thought crap I'm making it up and probably have concussion. But luckily then our other companion - who hadn't joined in with the canter - came down to help me catch the horse and said she'd seen what happened, a hare ran full-pelt across the field and right between K's front legs. So I wasn't imagining it...

I've seen this twice now, i swear your rabbit ramblings get funnier everytime!

I'm still impressed that you managed to not break the camera and keep it recording!
