    Default Getting replacement shafts

How easy is it to get replacement shafts made. They are metal ones. Looked at a cart and it has 70inch shafts that can be unbolted/removable. Think they might be too short for a 14hh horse (although looking on american site 70 inch shafts are the correct size). Ive read that having too short a shaft can cause it to dig into the shoulders when the horse bends. Can anyone help with what length they think would suit a 14hh horse. Stood him in 84 inch and think its bordering on going a little past the chest.

Is there anywhere that sells secondhand shafts. Could I go to a forge and get something made based on the current shafts. I know they are shaped in different ways, is there anything that one needs to consider if I got new ones made up. ie do they need to be bent at certain points due to balance.

Have you had a look on dragon driving? We picked up some shafts off there.

Yes I do pop on there from time to time. Cant seem to find any info on the web about how they are made. So much for being able to find everything on the internet.
