    Default New Job!!!!

    Yay!!!
I've been a health care assistant in a neurological care home since last Nov however following simon accident we have realised life is far too precious to work 12 hour shifts 5 days a week. I dropped to part time the day of Simons crash and haven't returned to full time due to my work bringing in nights as mandatory work. Staying part time stops me having to do that and we still have bad days/nights so I can't be working nights i need to be here for simon.
Simon was working 12 shifts too however he managed to find himself a new job swiftly and is now working 8-4.30 mon- Fri
Its taken me 15 weeks and alot of rejections but I have the perfect job!
Working in a DR's surgery near Warwick doing reception work and proper HCA work (wound care, jabs, phlebotomy) something I don't get to do in my current job!

I cannot wait to start! I've never not worked weekends!

That's exciting! Shift work is great (I love it) but is definitely not for everyone, I don't think it's unusual to get sick of it. Good luck at the new job
